Wildgrain - Subscription Bread, Pasta, and Pastry Right to Your Door!

I recently received a Wildgrain subscription bread box just in time for Father’s Day weekend and the heat of the summer. With so much backyard grilling and barbecue to focus on, it can be nice to have some incredible breads, pastas, and more right in the freezer. One less thing to stress about!

The Wildgrain box arrived at my threshold and I brought it in to find some delightful foods. The box contained some beautiful fettuccine and tonnarelli pastas, croissants ready to be baked, and some macarons that are perfect for a sweet snack. But as great as all of those looked, I really got excited when I saw the sourdough and ciabatta. Having a great bread come piping hot out the oven is one of life’s greatest pleasures, but dealing with yeast and fermentation and the patience that it takes to make bread from scratch can be a little daunting. Fortunately, there’s Wildgrain to the rescue.

Wildgrain partners with small-batch bakers and pasta makers across the country to provide nutritious artisanal bread, pasta, and pastries in a monthly themed subscription box. With the June box in hand, it was time to break out some bread for Father’s Day.

The ciabatta paired perfectly with some of my signature backyard brisket and a salad that my sister made. The crunchy, crusty exterior of the bread gave way to an airy interior with a phenomenal chew. The bread nearly stole the show from the rest of the meal, and that’s saying something for a loaf that arrived at my doorstep and stayed in my freezer until it was time to heat and serve. I was genuinely impressed with the caliber of the loaf and how easy it was to pop it in the oven from frozen and then have it ready to serve!

I’m excited to try both the plain sourdough and the walnut sourdough loaf next. Perhaps I can bring one of those with me to a backyard cookout somewhere this summer. The pastas also look delicious. As much as I’d love to make more homemade pasta at home, I rarely do because of the time it takes and the mess that it creates. I’m sure these Wildgrain pastas will be a huge step up from dried pasta at the supermarket. The croissants will also be the star of a breakfast sometime soon!

Wildgrain's signature subscription box is available now! Using the link or code JAY10, you’ll receive $10 off your first Wildgrain subscription box, perfect for keeping the freezer stocked year round, quick lunches while on vacation, and day trips this summer.
